Use projection mapping techniques on objects within a 3D scene and transfer into 3Phase.

METHOD
Create Block objects in Maya with default shader.
Planar Texture Projection of 3Phase patterns onto objects.
Input rendered Maya images into 3Phase
RESULT
Ended up quite flat very little Z depth.

Since you are projecting planar textures, your camera in Maya should also be capturing in a planar/orthogonal mode also for better results. Though you should still get some (distorted) depth out of those.
I forget the current interface of 3phase but you might have to have one of the correction parameters be negative- this might involve editing the processing code.
